Menta’s proposal for the comprehensive Cherry Orchard Road regeneration
scheme is set to transform a largely vacant and underused part of central Croydon
into a vibrant place to live, work or visit. Working in conjunction with the
leading architects MAKE, Menta will deliver a high quality landmark development
comprising four towers of varying heights and a new crescent building.
“I see Croydon as one of the most undervalued locations in the
UK; we are committed to delivering major regeneration schemes in areas
where the local authority have the determination to drive change with the private
sector. We are working closely with the council to enable the scheme to come
forward, and this latest major land acquisition from
the council is part of that process.” Craig

Menta’s proposal represents a unique opportunity to transform this part
of Croydon through real and lasting regeneration:
•
A unique landmark development of the highest architectural quality
•
Truly sustainable buildings that use on-site renewable energy technology
•
The use of high quality materials and detailing
•
A genuine mixed use development
•
Providing a range of new homes for city centre living
•
Introduce active frontages and re-establishing the street
•
Putting pedestrians before cars
•
New open spaces for residents and visitors
•
Major environmental improvements in the surrounding area
As a result, the new residential accommodation will provide a mix of private
and affordable housing and the office tower will provide modern floorspace
and the scheme proposes to deliver benefits beyond the site boundary for the
local community and wider town centre, and its transport links.
